As a training practice we also have GP Registrars who hold regular surgeries. When our doctors are absent on holiday or in training we may employ locums. These are fully trained and registered general practitioners. If you are asked to see one of them rest assured you will receive the same care and attention as you would from your own doctor.
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (eg average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Bedminster Family Practice in the last financial year was £32,359 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 10 part time GPs and 2 locum GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.
Brent's key role is to support the Partners at the practice in their aim of delivering excellent clinical care that is responsible to the needs of their patients. Brent also has a role with Bristol CCG, which helps the Practice to have good working relationships with all the various health agencies across the city. Ensuring strong links into the community is also a priority for Brent.
